Two things I love are Video Games and New York. This video manages to combine them into some strange 8-bit version of ID4, I movie I hate… well I hate the second half of that movie. And they’re making not one but two sequels… but I digress. Patrick Jean creates a incredible video depicting the 8 bit assault on NY. Great concept, cinematography and execution. More projects should be like this.
After years and years of being kidnapped and held prisoner at the hands of mad men, Princess Peach has been left a bit derranged and psychotic. She has since been placed under the care of the finest doctors in the Mushroom Kingdom in an attempt to maintain her psyche. In the process, she has become addicted to power ups. Bindging on 1ups, raccon tails and power flowers, you’ll sooner see her curled up in a ball than dancing at a Aqua World Kingdom Ball.
Once again captured by king koopa, head of the Mushroom Kingdom Drug Kartel, Peach needs the help of the Mario Bros to save her. Only this time it’s not from Koopa but probably from herself.

So today after a long weekend of memories, I figured there needs to be a bit of typography I do at work. So here we have one of the Beatles Rockband tees I did last year. The Beatles Rockband came out last fall to rave reviews and was a big seller at retail. Whether or not this tee was picked up I’m not sure. I did find the challenge of creating something that had a modern feel yet still blended into the Beatles era which the song “Come Together” was released in. I chose to use psychedelic gradients and large swirls to create a hippie-esque effect. I personally love the big swooping swirls flow in and out of the text.
