More Pope tees found in the wild. Two new designs I created can be found and purchased on Rue 21′s website in all their glory.  I don’t know why people love these style of tee’s, which were pretty much started by Affliction and Ed Hardy a couple years back. I affectionately call them Jersey Shore Tees in my mind. Hope you like them because I like seeing my work in public. More is on the way.

You can find them here Rue 21 Men’s Graphic Tees and they are named Savior Wing and Empire Cross, respectfully, but not by me, lol.

So today after a long weekend of memories, I figured there needs to be a bit of typography I do at work. So here we have one of the Beatles Rockband tees I did last year. The Beatles Rockband came out last fall to rave reviews and was a big seller at retail. Whether or not this tee was picked up I’m not sure. I did find the challenge of creating something that had a modern feel yet still blended into the Beatles era which the song “Come Together” was released in. I chose to use psychedelic gradients and large swirls to create a hippie-esque effect. I personally love the big swooping swirls flow in and out of the text.

Do you think I’ve pulled off the effect? Have I successfully merged the two brands?

Here’s the deal. When I set out for work today I decided I was gonna post whatever I designed for the job today as my post… Unfortunately, I had to draw this beautiful specimen of upliftment and joy. This also continues a dark streak on AoP this week. It was not my intention to do so, I’m just a victim of dark circumstance, lol.

All Photoshop. Drawn from scratch start to finish starting with a like wash at around 30% opacity on a round brush and slowly building up into detail and shadow and light. Smoke was added using a brush pack I found online. I think the feathers could be better but lets compare these to wings I draw later this year, like around my birthday. This REALLY my last dark post for this week, no skulls, monsters or heart wrenching poems. Only sunshine and high-fives from Care bears with milkshake tummy tattoos… Are Care Bears the first thugs? Maybe Love Thugs?

Well I guess this is how you start a year off by finding some of your designs lined up next to the work of your fellow designers at C-Life Group, dominating the main graphic tee wall of Old Navy. Check out the any car related tees in Old Navy right now that’s all me. Well me and my employer, lol. See more images after the break.
