Earlier this year I was asked to make a Tee for the game Rock Band which appears on PS3 and Xbox 360. To be honest, I’m not sure if this shirt ever went to print which is one of pet peeves I have with my job. I do enjoy the piece itself which is the main reason you are seeing it right now. This is a relatively tame use of typography as I’m still learning about good use the ins and outs of the technique. There is still tons I need to learn about it. Especially how to interlock letters and integrate them into the setting the fonts reside in. Over time and practice I will get better. This was from earlier this year. I’ll post some typography references later this week.

“Armed and Dangerous, ain’t too many that can bang with us, Straight up weed no Angel Dust, label us Notorious…” ~Notorious BIG, Notorious Thugs

OK. I thought about this idea a little late to do one for January. Nevertheless here is my February vs Valentine’s Day calendar wallpaper. This is a different take on a Valentines Day image as you never know what love will bring. Love is a fickle mistress and is more spontaeneous then a room full of caffeinated spokesmen with Touretts. If that makes sense.Which it probably doesn’t.

This wallpaper was first drawn out with pencil then scanned in. Then using Photoshop to ink, paint and light till I reached a point of completion. I had fun with this and can’t wait to work on my next one for March. This particular piece is gonna be submitted to Smashing Magazine’s monthly calendar wallpaper. Hopefully, It’ll get picked. I’ll keep everyone updated.

Hahaha Wooo… ok. Today has been kinda dark visually. I’ll lighten the mood with my next post. Promise…
