So last night, my boy and Table of Truth partner Cam and I went to see, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. If you have at any moment enjoyed video games, anime, elaborate fights sequences, teen angst and comedy, you should go see this movie. I have to admit, I took my time to finally purchase my ticket as I’ve was busy sleeping and such. But I have to tell you this movie is amazing. Possibly one of the best comic book movies I’ve ever seen.

So to honor this movie, i was inspired to draw a picture depicting a scene from the movie of which I will not divulge for those who have not seen it. This is a work in progress and i’ll be posting up the more later in the week. For now enjoy this black and white feast and the original sketch/concept piece below.

It’s been a while but I felt like messing around in photoshop today and found an illustration I drew and scanned in earlier in the year. Just a regular old masked freedom fighter. Possibly a spy with those goggles. But I felt like coloring him. I’m a bit rusty and haven’t digitally painted anything in a long time. SO i figured why the hell not. In the process I came up with two variant versions which you can find after the break. Let me know which one you like best. Enjoy and I’ll see you guys on Monday.

Dad in the City is the upcoming blog for my friend Ben. He’s a father just like me, who’s decided to chronicle his experiences as a new father in the a rich gooey blog format. The site isn’t live yet but here is the header that I designed for it. He asked me to keep the artwork simple yet colorful. He loves it and I wish him all the best with his new ventures.
