For the rest of this week, I’ll be posting the random types of artwork I do at my day job designing T-shirts for Old Navy, Target, Walmart, Rue21, etc. I spend a lot of time drawing and I haven’t been posting them since they were for work. But in the end they are my pieces and I have every right to show them. So here is Ganesh the Lord of Obstacles. In this shirt the obstacle was getting the crowd moving. I’ve designed a lot of crazy shit since being here at C-Life when I’m asked to make a Hindu god tear a party down I am as shocked as I used to be. More weirdness is in the queue, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Continue to the rest of the postOne of my good friends over at Naked With Socks On asked me to design a couple shirts for his new online store he was building that would represent one of his most popular topics “Wet Wednesdays.” Since RO designed NWSO, I didn’t feel right if someone else came in and started fiddling with my work, lol. So I was happy to oblige. I had only one restriction and that was to make an “I <3 NY” style t-shirt but use Wet Wednesday instead. This is the final product I came up with it looks really nice and captures the idea of WW without being overtly sexual which WW can be at times.
This next t-shirt was dedicated to the catch phrase “Hi I’m Naked!” Which is one of the taglines for the site. The image is based on the classic photo of the Red Hot Chili Peppers front man, Anthony Kiedis walking around with a sock on his… uhh… chili pepper. NWSO wanted an icon graphic with the rocking a sock. BAM. There you go.
Hope you enjoy the T-shirts and if you’d like to purchase them head over to the NWSO online store to purchase them. All proceeds go to starving artists that work for NWSO and Popephoenix.com.
Continue to the rest of the postI was born in the 70′s and grew up watching WWF. Not this WWE they have now. With there multi-threaded story lines or their flashy video montages. The way you used to push the story back in the days was a one on one interview with the man Mean Gene Okerlund. Brother! That’s how you tell a story.
When I was still playing the NES, way before CD players, Playstations and Lisa Turtle ever appeared in my world, I lived for wrestling on Sunday afternoons. If the wrestling gods were appeased, I was blessed with the arrival of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Which to me was pretty much the greatest thing a kid wrestling fan could get. Well next to getting Wrestlemania Tickets. (a feat I have yet to accomplish)
Continue to the rest of the postDad in the City is the upcoming blog for my friend Ben. He’s a father just like me, who’s decided to chronicle his experiences as a new father in the a rich gooey blog format. The site isn’t live yet but here is the header that I designed for it. He asked me to keep the artwork simple yet colorful. He loves it and I wish him all the best with his new ventures.
Continue to the rest of the postYesterday while browsing the web I came across this video by Dead Weather “Treat Me Like Your Mother.” A strange and weird video about, what appears to be two undead assassins who apparently have never been taught how to end a relationship easily. 30 clips of ammunition later they still have unresolved issues. But watching this video it inspired me to create the poster above. Dipped in hatred, blinded by fury, a lover crossed is hell on earth.

Another week another sketch out the old book. I know my posts have been a little erratic lately but I’ve been working on a few projects and I need to focus on them. I will be back and I will complete the total collection of images… how I’m just not sure yet?
