Understand when I say I draw weird shit for work… I’m not just talking out my ass. This is one of a series of weird illustrations I had to create. A monkey astronaut. It does happen in real life but who wants this on their shirt. I actually have a friend who would love this shirt, lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

For the rest of this week, I’ll be posting the random types of artwork I do at my day job designing T-shirts for Old Navy, Target, Walmart, Rue21, etc. I spend a lot of time drawing and I haven’t been posting them since they were for work. But in the end they are my pieces and I have every right to show them. So here is Ganesh the Lord of Obstacles. In this shirt the obstacle was getting the crowd moving. I’ve designed a lot of crazy shit since being here at C-Life when I’m asked to make a Hindu god tear a party down I am as shocked as I used to be. More weirdness is in the queue, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

One of my good friends over at Naked With Socks On asked me to design a couple shirts for his new online store he was building that would represent one of his most popular topics “Wet Wednesdays.” Since RO designed NWSO, I didn’t feel right if someone else came in and started fiddling with my work, lol. So I was happy to oblige. I had only one restriction and that was to make an “I <3 NY” style t-shirt but use Wet Wednesday instead. This is the final product I came up with it looks really nice and captures the idea of WW without being overtly sexual which WW can be at times.

This next t-shirt was dedicated to the catch phrase “Hi I’m Naked!” Which is one of the taglines for the site. The image is based on the classic photo of the Red Hot Chili Peppers front man, Anthony Kiedis walking around with a sock on his… uhh… chili pepper.  NWSO wanted an icon graphic with the rocking a sock. BAM. There you go.

Hope you enjoy the T-shirts and if you’d like to purchase them head over to the NWSO online store to purchase them. All proceeds go to starving artists that work for NWSO and Popephoenix.com.
