Dad in the City is the upcoming blog for my friend Ben. He’s a father just like me, who’s decided to chronicle his experiences as a new father in the a rich gooey blog format. The site isn’t live yet but here is the header that I designed for it. He asked me to keep the artwork simple yet colorful. He loves it and I wish him all the best with his new ventures.

Yesterday while browsing the web I came across this video by Dead Weather “Treat Me Like Your Mother.” A strange and weird video about, what appears to be two undead assassins who apparently have never been taught how to end a relationship easily. 30 clips of ammunition later they still have unresolved issues. But watching this video it inspired me to create the poster above. Dipped in hatred, blinded by fury, a lover crossed is hell on earth.

Another week another sketch out the old book. I know my posts have been a little erratic lately but I’ve been working on a few projects and I need to focus on them. I will be back and I will complete the total collection of images… how I’m just not sure yet?

This blog has helped me get some exposure and for that I’m thankful. With out it I would not have been able to meet the fine folks over at Rebel 4 Men Magazine. An Arizona based men’s magazine that is launching this month. With the help of the Creative Director Gabi Mink, I was able to create some great images for two stories in the premiere issue. I, if you don’t know… talk a lot of shit. So much so that I feel it needs to be posted on the web not only in blog form but in audio form as well. For the last 2 months, Duane, Cam and myself have been shaping and shining our podcasting skills for the glorious day we release our brand of humor and commentary onto the world.
