If you didn’t know I’m black. Not African-American. Not Negro. Not only am I Black, I’m Young and talented, attractive, no police record, I don’t sell drugs, I raise my daughter, pay taxes (wassup Wesley), I’m not a rapper (although I’ve dropped an album), have my own apartment, a decent job and I’m entreprenuer on the rise. Yup. Surprising right? Yet with all this going for me I still feel like dude in the image above.

Two things I love are Video Games and New York. This video manages to combine them into some strange 8-bit version of ID4, I movie I hate… well I hate the second half of that movie. And they’re making not one but two sequels… but I digress. Patrick Jean creates a incredible video depicting the 8 bit assault on NY. Great concept, cinematography and execution. More projects should be like this.
Check out my Questlove piece in the latest Abduzeedo Inspiration post. Pretty fricking awesome if I have to say so myself. Makes me want to work that much harder. Super amped right now… About to fly to work, New post coming later today. Peace.

Most movies at some point hit a “OH Shit” threshold then begin working their way back to redemption and triumph. No. Not Precious. This movie just keeps going deeper down the rabbit hole of depression and abuse. There’s no reason for me to watch that again. At the same time, I wonder if this is the reason it won an Academy Award.
